Lisa Ray is suffering from Cancer

Remember the actress who acted opposite Aftab Shivdesani in Kasoor? or more famously the Afreen-Afreen girl from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s song Afreen? Lisa Ray is suffering from multiple myeloma, which she was diagnosed with two months ago.
Lisa says,”I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on June 23rd. Started my first cycle of treatment July 2nd. Not long ago.”
When I got the news I didn’t react and I didn’t cry. I’m an actress, believe me, I can be dramatic. Not just then though.”
I’m going to do everything I can to wrench the spotlight onto Myeloma and Cancer Awareness.I believe it can be cured. That’s the Dirty Realist in me.”
We salute your spirit Lisa, we sincerely hope that you get well soon.

Bebo gets Cheesy

Now everybody can have a bite of Bebo, because an international pizza chain has recently introduced a brand new pizza in their menu that his inspired by size zero Kareena and is ironically called Size Zero Pizza.
Kareena who is a fan of pizza herself says, “I love Italian food,I must eat pizza at least twice a week; and yes, I’m flattered that a pizza has been named after me.’’
However on the name of the pizza being Size Zero she says,“Honestly speaking, I’m no longer a size zero. I’m slightly rounded because I need to be that way for my role in Karan Johar’s Hindi version of Step Mom.”
Talking about cheese, Bebo adds, “It’s a misconception that cheese is unhealthy.My dietician has put me on a cheese diet for the longest time. Cheese has the right fat percentage required for the body and if eaten right, it can be advantageous rather than detrimental.’’
The Size Zero pizza has a thin crust,some really healthy veggie toppings and low-fat cheese.

Katrina:I am a Turquotte

Recently Ayesha Shroff who introduced Katrina in Boom revealed that Katrina Kaif’s real surname is Katrina Turquotte and Katrina agrees with her statement.
When Katrina is quizzed about her surname, she says,”For people wondering, yes, my passport name is Katrina Turquotte. I changed it because it’ll be easier for people to call me. Nothing more.”
Thanks for telling the truth Miss Kaif, ooops! ermmm Miss Turquotte.

Preity Zinta is following Aishwarya Rai’s Kajra Re footsteps as she has put on the item girl tag for special friend Salman Khan in his movie Main Aur Mrs Khanna.
Preity says,“It’s an interesting cameo. The song’s called Happening and I agreed to do it because director Prem Soni is a friend. And since Salman has played Prem so often, let’s just say this one is for Prem.”
Director,Prem says“Unlike Ash, who was just a part of Kajra Re, Preity plays an important role in the film.”

Amar:I pray for better zubaan for SRK

The war of words continues between SRK and Big B’s politico friend Amar singh.
Reacting sharply to SRK’s comment about wishing him good physical and mental health, Amar says,“He says he’ll pray for my physical and mental health. Why? Because I commented on his detention at the US airport? Please tell him that I’m fine, both physically and mentally. But I pray for a better zubaan for Shah Rukh. He must understand that I didn’t comment on him. I commented on an issue much larger than his detention. Where were those four central ministers who’ve been so vocal about Shah Rukh’s detention, when Abdul Kalam was detained at an airport? Why didn’t they speak up then? Why has Shah Rukh’s detention become a national issue? If it has, let’s immediately cancel all diplomatic ties with the US.”
“Indians are stripped and frisked routinely at London airport. Amitji has been similarly detained in France and Switzerland. Have you ever heard him complain? And he isn’t even a Khan. My wife was detained at an international airport recently. So what’s the hue and cry about?”

No marriage on the cards, says Rani

Bollywood ki Rani, Rani Mukherjee is speaking loud and clear about her marriage in media. She makes a strong statement that gossips are fine as long as they do not harm anyone but media’s frequent report of her marriage has harm her career as no filmmaker approached her for a long time for the marriage tag. She added that she is not going to marry now.
Says Rani "There is no marriage on the cards. Not at all, no engagement and no marriage. I think [the press] have been trying to marry me off since the last three years and they are just not able to get a fix on the date. But just to clear the air, there is no marriage and there is none happening in the future also."
Rani added that that she is the only daughter of her parents and she does not want to hurt them by marrying secretly and when she will finally made up her mind to tie the knot, she will make the entire world know about the ceremony.
Currently, Rani Mukherjee is making her comeback in a grand way in Yash Raj’s ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ with Shahid Kapur.

Shahid reveals how important was Bebo

Five years of relationship and then a break-up, Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor have now moved on in life. Though Shahid always remained tight-lipped as what went wrong in their relationship, he revealed that Kareena Kapoor had been his support system.

It was Farah Khan who made Shahid to speak about his past relationship with Kareena Kapoor on the chat show, ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein’. Talking about dating Bebo, he says, “I was already knowing that she was Raj Kapoor's grand-daughter, her sister was Karisma Kapoor. I had danced behind Karisma in "Dil to Pagal hai" even I knew that this will be a big issue."

When Farah popped the question that whether it was his repeated flop that sour their relationship. To it Shahid responded, "She had become my support system. I think emotionally also that she had become my support system, so there was no chance like that. The real things in life is relationship only, success and failure when comes and goes we didn't remembers. Relationship is that thing, they stand by you with time so you have to give priority to your relationship."

Salman warns Katrina against Vivek

Though Katrina Kaif always says that as far as choosing script or choosing co-stars are concerned, she takes all her decisions by herself and her decision is not influenced by Salman Khan, the serene beauty has recently taken a decision which seems that it was more of Salman's wish than her's. Katrina Kaid had decided that she would never work with Vivek Oberoi."I would not work with Vivek anyway," the 25-year-old actress told reporters when asked about the actor with whom she is not desired to act with. Though Vivek couple of times tried to bridge the gap between him and Salman Khan, Sallu miya ignored him every time. Salman is fine if Kat works with his enemies like John Abraham and Shahrukh Khan but could not tolerate if she shares screen space with Vivek. The two fought over their relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Then Vivek had made a press statement that Salman harassed him and sent him death treats.

Shahid wants to flirt with Madhuri

Madhuri Dixit may be away from the film industry for quite a long period but she has an ardent admirer in Shahid Kapur. Shahid revealed that he wants to flirt with Madhuri Dixit on the chat show, ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein’.
When Farah Khan asked Shahid whom he would choose among Sridevi, Rekha, Madhuri Dixit or Zeenat Aman for his dream project, he replied Madhuri. Shahid went to say that if he were to act with those heroines, he would get enough time to flirt with them as there were no mobile phones then. He added that he would flirt with Madhuri a bit more as he is a great fan of her. He even remarked that he would ask his director for longer breaks so that he would get more time to flirt with his dream lady.

Akshay Kumar freaks out in London, parties hard in Brit Pubs!

Parties and Akshay Kumar have always been miles away from each other. Akshay is known to follow a strict regime of going to bed at 10 and waking up early in the morning to exercise. During parties, he has always been rather reserved and prefers to stand alone in the corner of the room, with a juice glass. But he seems to have undergone a transformation during his shoot in London.
While Akshay still refrains from drinking, his extroverted side has come out completely. His co-star from Housefull, Arjun Rampal, would take him to pubs in London for boys’ night-outs, whenever their families weren’t around.
During the wrap up party, Akshay was seen having a fun time. He went to the dance floor and was earlier dancing with Ritesh Deshmukh on a song from Housefull, but later when his song, Jee Karda (from Singh Is Kinng) started; Akshay took the mike from the DJ and sang as well as danced. A lot of people were surprised to see Akshay change like this. But hey, no one’s complaining!

Katrina picks what Kareena dumps

Kareena Kapoor has been approached for an anti-ageing cream but she refused to endorse the product for being young. She declaimed as she is not interested to be associated with a brand for older women. A source admits, "She refused the ad as she felt it wasn't the right fit. Maybe in 15 years' time, she will be ready to do it”. Katrtina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor were the choice for the brand because they were vibrant and youthful. Katrina has no such reservations, she was offered a huge amount and she accepted. A source close to Katrina refutes the story that it's an anti-ageing skin care cream. "She has signed the skin care cream but it's not an anti-ageing one. Katrina is only on for a new product and not for their entire range. As far as we know the anti-ageing cream is still being endorsed by Sushmita Sen. The new product is for the younger generation." A spokesperson for Matrix, who handles Kareena and Katrina's endorsements says, "Katrina is not doing any anti-ageing skin care cream. And Kareena is the brand ambassador of another skin care brand for the last three years so there's no question of her turning down or being approached by another skin brand."

Salman snubs Shahid

Rani Mukhherjee and Shahid Kapur appeared on Salman Khan’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ but what caught the maximum attention was Salman’s attitude towards Shahid Kapur. Sallu was not at all friendly towards Shahid and throughout the show, he maintained distance from him. While he was very friendly and cordial with Rani Mukherjee. Salman and Shahid developed cold vibes during the Rockstar tour three years ago. Since then, the duo always avoided each other but unfortunately Shahid happened to drop on Salman’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ along with Rani to promote their upcoming film, ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’. According to eyewitness, "Rani arrived first and went to Salman's dressing room to greet Salman. Later Shahid dropped in to meet the host and break the ice. Salman was cordial but not as warm as he was to Rani."That there exists a problem between the two is clearly visible as Salman did not gel well with Shahid, "While Salman gave Rani a long, warm hug, all Shahid got was a half-hearted hug - just an arm around the shoulders. Salman never made any attempt to make Shahid feel at ease, like he does with his other contestants. It was obvious that the normally chatty Salman was not at ease with Shahid."

What’s Your Raashee? is now on Facebook

The hype surrounding What’s Your Raashee? has now reached Facebook as well! In a first of its kind association, a specialized application has been developed for Facebook to check their compatibility with their partners and also make new friends based on their very own raashee - sun sign, and their compatibility with other users. The application requires the user to answer questions about their personal preferences and based on the compatibility of their raashee with other raashees, and the compatibility derived from their answers matching other users, they will be shown a list of users whom they are compatible with and offer them an opportunity to add those people as friends in Facebook.
Sunita A. Gowariker, producer of the film says, “In the film, Priyanka plays 12 characters all between the age of 18-25, which is also the average age group of Facebook users, thereby Facebook served as an ideal platform for us to connect with the youth. Besides the TG fit, this particular application gave us a chance to do something interactive by not only letting users test their compatibility with their partners, but also by giving users a chance to meet people they may not know on Facebook, with whom they are compatible. The entire idea ties in well with the theme of the film and yet is not restricted to being only about the film.”
What’s Your Raashee? is director Ashutosh Gowariker’s first romantic comedy and is based on Madhu Rye’s Gujarati novel Kimball Ravenswood and stars Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra.
The film is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and is jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A.Gowariker. Other credits include lyrics by Javed Akhtar, music by Sohail Sen, screenplay by Naushil Mehta & Ashutosh Gowariker, dialogues by Naushil Mehta, costume design by Neeta Lulla, art direction by Nitin Desai and cinematography by Piyush Shah.
The film is slated for a 25th September release.

Asin angry with London Dreams promos

Asin is unhappy these days, her next flick London Dreams promos are on air and she is only shown in one shot, with the promos concentrating more on Salman and Ajay.
A source says, When Asin learnt that she was hardly a part of the first theatrical promo of the film, she spoke to Vipul. Asin is very eager to see the response of the audience, especially since this will be her first release after Ghajini which was the biggest hit of last year. However, she was very disappointed with the promos. Vipul explained to her that since it is the story of two friends, he needed to have more of Salman and Ajay in the first promo. However, Asin was far from convinced and is sulking.”
Director Vipul Shah made an announcement, “All I want to say is that this is just the first teaser of the film. Please don’t be in a hurry to judge anybody’s importance and let me say clearly that Asin is a very important part of my film. Let some other promos release and everything will be fine. I am aware that this is Asin’s first release after Ghajini and the expectations are huge. Let me assure everybody, especially fans of Asin, that they won’t be disappointed.”
