Can you believe it's been 10 years since Posh and Becks sat on golden thrones at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland and became husband and wife? Relive a decade of Brand Beckham with our nifty timeline of the couple's highlights and lowlights
1999
On July 4, 1999, David and Victoria held an extravagant, celebrity-filled £500,000 wedding, which was covered exclusively by OK! magazine. According to reports, nearly 500 staff were employed for the wedding reception alone and son Brooklyn, then four months old, was the ring bearer. This was also the year the Beckhams purchased their Hertfordshire mansion, dubbed Beckingham Palace, now said to be worth around £7.5 million.
2000
2000 saw the release of Victoria's first post-Spice Girls single, Out Of Your Mind, a collaboration with Dane Bowers and Truesteppers. A 'Posh v Posher' rift broke out with Sophie Ellis Bextor, whose single Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) was released the same week. Unfortunately for Posh, she was vastly outsold. However this was not the end of her problems - Scotland Yard was tipped off about a planned attempt to kidnap the star, and she was frightened by what she feared was an assassination attempt when, at a rehearsal for a show, a red light was shone at her chest, causing the terrified star to rush off stage.

2001
After the trauma of the year before, the Beckhams must have been relieved at the quietness of 2001. The year passed smoothly, with Victoria releasing her self-titled album and her first autobiography, Learning To Fly, which went on to be the UK's third best selling non-fiction book of the year. As well as this, the term 'Posh and Becks' was added to Collins Concise English Dictionary in 2001.
2002
Even though a year had passed Victoria still wasn't safe, as police uncovered another plot to kidnap the star and five people were arrested. There were no convictions though, as the witness was deemed unreliable. Health and safety was not just a problem for Victoria; David received his fair share when he broke his foot in a Champions League match for Manchester United against Deportivo La Coruna, which left him unable to play for much of the year. Becks was also deemed the Ultimate Metrosexual by the creator of the term himself. But it wasn't all doom and gloom, as 2002 was the year the couple welcomed their second son, Romeo.
2003
David signed to play football for Real Madrid, resulting in a move to Spain in 2003. Posh was having none of it, and stayed in the UK to pursue her ill-fated solo career. To make up for it, David bought his lonely wife a £1 million yacht, a £140,000 car and an amazing £1.5 million ring. Meanwhile, Rebecca Loos was hired as a personal assistant to help David settle into Madrid.
2004
This was the year Victoria would rather forget, as their marriage was strained by allegations Becks was having affairs with two women. Rebecca Loos sold a story to News Of The World in April 2004, claiming she and David had conducted a four-month affair, closely followed by a similar allegation from model Sarah Marbeck. David denied all allegations and the couple said the experience only made them stronger.

2005

This was the year that bore their third son, Cruz. It was also the year Becks became the first ever England captain to be sent off, as well as the first and only player to be sent off twice while playing for England. Posh was also quoted by a Spanish journalist as saying she'd "never read a book". Victoria later claimed this was a mistranslation, and she had intended to say she never had time to finish a book.
2006
This was a turnaround year, as Posh and Becks renewed their marriage vows, and were tattooed to prove it. The pair had 'May 8 2006' tattooed onto their wrists in Roman numerals to mark the ceremony.
2007
The Spice Girls reunion drafted Posh back into the music world. The fivesome embarked upon a triumphant comeback tour, netting each Spice a whopping £10 million. 2007 was also the year the Beckhams moved Stateside, making a Beverly Hills mansion their new home, after David signed for LA Galaxy. America was gripped with temporary insanity as hundreds of paparazzi and would-be football fans descended on LAX airport to greet their plane as it touched down.
2008
A transitional year for the Beckhams, as David wanted to move back to Europe in order to continue playing his beloved football at the highest level, while Victoria wanted to stay in the States where the children were settled. Cue lots of Transatlantic travelling for Posh, as she split her week between Italy (where David was on loan to AC Milan) and Los Angeles.
2009
Which brings us to present day, and the 10th anniversary of one of the most famous couples in the world. To celebrate the occasion, David has reportedly booked out Richard Branson's Necker Island and has hired musician-turned-photographer Bryan Adams to take pictures of him and his beloved. Here's to 10 more years!
